Get Downstairs Surprise!

 

 

To build a staircase slide you will need a mattress (hopefully it fits down your staircase). Thick cardboard (from a big box) works well too. 

You will also need a soft surface to land on. We had carpet and some pillows on the floor.

Use bags, pillows or other slippery items as sleds. 

The best part about this surprise is that it gives you a favor too because the kids will be sliding down the "slide" at least for an hour (or more).

Don't forget to join the kids! 

Keep it safe: wear bicycle helmets if you wish, place lots of blankets on the floor below the slide and watch for sharp corners on the walls.
