Aiken Drum has been around since the Battle of Sheriffmuir that dates back to 171. Now you might be wondering who Aiken Drum is! Well, he is known to be a mythical creature named Brownie, who was a mischievous but kind-hearted fellow.

Brownie is similar to a fairy or an elf who was popular in North and South England. The name Aiken Drum was given to a brownie by William Nicholson in the poem "The Brownie of Blednoch".
