Well, and of course because I think the book is awesome. Simple, yet with some great inspirational ideas for your toy making journey.

Activities for Kids with Homemade Toys

Made from household Items

activities for kids ebook poster

It's an eBook with 25 Homemade Toy Tutorials plus ideas, suggestions and activities for toddlers, preschoolers and few for older ones. All the toys are simple, practical and most importantly almost free to make. The materials for the toys you already have laying at home or in your recycling bin.

Wanna know why I wrote this book?

Way before I had my own children I was always bothered the idea of kids having too many toys at home. I strongly believe (but I am not judging others who don't think this way) that kids would be healthier, smarter, more social, more imaginative and more successful later in their lives if they would have less toys. Don't get me wrong I am not saying that you should take all the toys away and leave the play room empty and force the kids to play with their fingers and hair (even though that could be fun too). I just think there should be less toys and they should give different meaning to the kids.

Did you know that, on average, Americans spend more than $300 per year per child on toys.  That's a lot of money spend on plastic.

The goal of this book was to prove and show other parents and caregivers that you don't have to buy all the toys, you can just make them together with your kids. Even if you are not a crafty person and you don't have fancy craft supplies and tools.

Why should you make toys yourself?

By making toys together with your children you are teaching many lessons and sending some great messages to your kids:

  1. Problem solving
  2. Team work
  3. Bonding
  4. Good memories
  5. Craft and activity
  6. Creativity

Here are just a few toys I put in the eBook:

DIY pool table.

1. DIY Billiard. My preschooler had a lot of fun playing pool with her dad. Even a toddler found a way to play with it.

2. Old Umbrella Parachute was flying high in the sky. Kids were fascinated.

3. Pull Puppy Toy  (with turning wheels) turned out to be my daughter's best friend. I included a free printable in the eBook.

Check out Table of Contents to see all the toys and activities included in the book.

So, for the price of 1 Grande Caramel Frappuccino You can get your copy of the eBook here.
