Kids are our priority, aren't they.? Their development, their nutrition, their physical and mental health is all we care about. But we often forget that we are a big part (the biggest) of their lives and it's very important we are healthy too so we are able to take care of them. It's that simple. It's like on the airplane: you need to put an air mask first so you can put air mask on your child.

Healthy lifestyle for moms should be a big priority and we should take it very seriously.
So here my top 10 tips on how to stay healthy, energetic and strong mom for your kids.

Time out
Create a schedule for yourself that allows you to have alone time. For me - it's my morning routine! I get to charge for the entire day and would not know what to do without it.
Move
Or exercise. Any kind of movement is good. No matter how hard it is to start this habit (and keep it) - do it. You will notice the change soon enough. I, for example, love dancing to my favorite music (not a good dancer by any means). But I get multiple benefits out of it: it's an exercise and it's boosts my mood and my energy of course. AND most of the times I do it with kids so it's a fun activity for everyone.
Get outside
Getting outside and breathing some fresh air is very important to you. Here is why:
- Fresh air is good for your digestion.
- It will make you happier.
- Fresh air will improve your heart rate and blood pressure.
- Your immune system will be stronger
- Your lungs will be cleaned
- All of this will result more energy and sharper mind.
Which mom wouldn't want that?
Do your best to sleep enough
I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's doable. However, something will have to go. In my house, it's laundry that is never folded. Ever. I would rather take a nap or go to sleep earlier. Take it easy on yourself and let some things go. It will be OK.
Drink more water
Whatever you are drinking now - triple it. It will do good things for you.
Limit time on digital devices
I have a strict cellphone, computer rule where I don't turn them on for certain amount of time. It's especially hard for me to maintain because I work from home, but it pays off greatly.
Instead of scrolling through Instagram and looking at other people's days, make your own day awesome. Save your eyes and your spirit.
Use probiotics
I try to eat as much as plain yogurt as I can because I know it can help me maintain the right amount of good bacteria in my digestive track. Yogurt is high in acidophilus. But last month I have tried Align Probiotics to help me better digestion and healthy bacteria consumption.
Align Probiotics fortifies your digestive system with healthy bacteria 24/7 (disclaimer: With continued daily use). Head to Target and save 15% on Align Probiotic products using Target’s Cartwheel app. Offer ends 7/19.
Laugh more often
Look for a fun perspective in most life situations. Caught kids doing some naughty? Grab your camera and record it. You will all have a big laugh at it later on.
Laughter is infectious, make sure to share jokes and funny stories with your kids all the time.
Use essential oils
Essential oils have become essential in my life couple years ago. They eliminated most of the toxins out of my house. My favorite way to use oils just for myself is massaging lavender oil in after a morning shower. I wrote a post about 100 uses for essential oils.
The most important motive to stay healthy
When we are set with goal it's always important to know WHY we are doing it. For me, staying healthy is important because I want to show a good example for my kids. I believe my words are worthless if my actions aren't visible. I want to stay healthy to be able to see (and enjoy) the lives of my children AND my grandchildren.
